Horse Betting Strategies – Trifecta

There are many different horse betting strategies that bettors use to make them money at the race tracks. One method is called the Trifecta and I hope that this helps you out the next time you’re at the racetrack.

Trifecta Part Wheels

A) Two-Three-Five Part Wheel: Consists of a “five horse pool”. Key “two horses” from the pool of five, and add another horse to form three. The ticket can be arranged in any order.

Example: 1-2 /1-2-3/ 1-2-3-4-5 (2x2x3) This ticket costs $12 based on a $1 base trifecta. You may arrange the horses in any order, but the “two horse” and “three horse” positions have to come from the “five horse pool”.

B) Two-Five-Five Part Wheel: Same as above; this ticket will cost $24.

Example: 1-2 /1-2-3-4-5/ 1-2-3-4-5 (2x4x3) Again the “two horse” key can be placed in any position and the two horses must also be in the “five horse pool”.

C) Two-Four-Six Part Wheel: This is still the same as the two earlier horse betting strategies. This ticket will also cost $24.

Example: 1-2 /1-2-3-4/ 1-2-3-4-5-6 The two and four horse positions have to come from the six horse pool.

D) Single Horse Key: You can use this method when you find a legitimate “overlay” who is well qualified to beat the favorite. You can use two basic “Single Horse Keys” and then reverse it on a separate ticket.

Example: One-Four-Four Key: 1 /2-3-4-5/ 2-3-4-5 This ticket costs $12. You can then reverse it and then buy another ticket: 2-3-4-5 /1/2-3-4-5.

E) One-Three-Five: 1 /2-3-4/ 2-3-4-5-6 Again this is a $12 ticket. You can reverse it and purchase another ticket: 2-3-4-5-6 /1/ 2-3-4. It makes no difference where you “place” the “key” horse. The above examples key the single horse in the “first” and “second” positions.

In each of the above examples we can win with or without the favorite finishing in the money. This is assuming we do not key the favorite and the favorite is used in the pool. Hopefully This Horse Betting Strategy was useful to you.
